hey Johannes,
ITS A BULL MARKET, GOOG to 700 in 07!! hah.
I punted a bit of money away this week on CFC jan 09 puts. They don’t seem to have been hit at all by the subprime implosions going on yet but i’m leaving huge room for margin of error time wise.
Best of luck to you guys in 07. I finished off my first full year speculating up 55% on the gold/silver bull :) My plan for 07 is to be rather defensive. I still have my silver, going to be looking to jump back in and position trade SLW coming up here but then I’m selling it all. I just got Jack Schwager’s two books on futures, I’m mostly looking to paper trade commodity futures in 07 to test my strategies. I’m hoping for 10-15% in 07, 08 but gearing up to blast home runs out of the eventual global bear in base metal/PM futures. mini gold contracts if we go under 600 here are going to kill me mentally with not playing but i dont have the staying power for futures yet.
Another book i just got that is utterly amazing is Intermarket Analysis by John J. Murphy. Incredible analysis of the relationships between stocks, bonds, futures and currency/forex markets. Certainly check it out if you have not, well worth it.
